Winter- (a poem I wrote for poetry slam for reading week at school )

Winter

Bare trees shadows lean against the
wooden fence casting menacing figures.
Snow forms a thickening white blanket
as snowflakes scatter.
The honking of geese alarm the neighborhood
suddenly breaking the silence.
.........and winter covered the land
frost after frost, snowflake after snowflake.

CLOUDS

CLOUDS

CLOUDS ARE EVER SO FLUFFY LIKE COTTON BALLS IN THE AIR
NONE CAN BE QUITE DIFFERENT BUT QUITE NONE CAN BE A PAIR
BUT THEY ARE TOO HIGH TO GET IN YOUR HAIR!

RAINDROPS

                            Raindrops

THEY DROP WITH LOTS OF GRAVITY ATTACK.
THEY RISE UPON THE CLOUDS BUT WILL ALWAYS BE BACK!!!

Week#18-100 word challenge

The tale of the Giant Ballet Shoes.

"Ah! What a wonderful day!" said Katherine as she yawned and looked out her window. Then she squinted and rubbed her eyes. Through the giant dandelions that came right up to her window, she spotted a pair of giant pink....ballet shoes!  As she went downstairs, she remembered it was her mom's birthday.
Katherine and her family lived in Tinyville, a magical world of small extraordinary people. After breakfast, Katherine went out and dragged the giant ballet shoes to her mom's  bedroom window sill. ''Mom, Mom!!! she said. When her mom saw them she was amazed, "They are so beautiful!" she said, giving Katherine a big hug. "This is the best birthday ever!!!"

MY SISTER

Sisters can be annoying like the one  just down the street,
Sisters can  be helpful and some just can't be beat!
Sisters can be boastful and boast about their phones,
Sisters  can be screechy like ones with a high-pichted  tone
and sisters can sweet and give you a sweet treat,
And, My sister is simply unique!!!!!!

Week#17-100 word challenge

"Cassie!" said my aunt. After the tragedy, I had to go to my aunt's. We were at her restaurant. My aunt was making strawberry custard, my favorite. But the custard tasted like sour grapefruit!
"Aunt Hellen!" I cried, "What were the ingredients for th..", I stopped, "Aunt Hellen, are you okay?"
Tears streaming down my eyes, I went to call the doctor. No answer!
I went to call my friends, Jessica, Jane, Stephanie and Cookie, their dog. We lifted my aunt onto the bed with wheels. We hurried even though it was 11 to the small hospital-blocks away. I wondered what had happened.
